Dr. Bakari George is a legal academic and an advocate for community development with nearly two decades of professional experience. He currently serves as the Rector of the Tengeru Institute of Community Development (TICD) in Tanzania. Dr. Bakari’s scholarship bridges the disciplines of law and community development, exploring their intersections within both national and international contexts. From humble beginnings, his career has been driven by a deep passion for empowering individuals and communities through legal knowledge and the pursuit of justice. When not teaching or writing, he enjoys mentoring emerging scholars and supporting his lifelong favorite football team—Arsenal.
